Please read these terms carefully before placing a hire booking with us.

These terms apply to the hire of decorations, props and related items (“Items”) from myweddinghire, a trading name of Mr Christopher Rowe(sole trader), of 76 Hemswell Avenue, Lincoln LN6 0AZ (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us on 01522 396443 or at sales@myweddinghire.com. We are not registered for VAT.
By placing a booking with us you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking. A binding contract is formed only when (a) you have paid the Deposit (or full payment where required) and (b) we have sent you written confirmation of your Booking. We may decline a booking before it is confirmed, for example if Items are unavailable for your dates.
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. Prices include the Items and any delivery/collection charges set out in your quote. Delivery and collection charges vary by location and are confirmed at the time of quotation.
The standard Hire Period is 3 days (delivery day, event day, and collection day) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Items must be ready for collection, or returned to us, by the agreed time. If you keep the Items beyond the agreed Hire Period, a continuation charge equal to 25% of the original hire fee per day applies, reflecting our loss of availability to hire the Items to others.
Where you book online or otherwise at a distance, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, because our hire is supplied for a specific date or period connected with a leisure event, this 14-day right does not apply once a Booking is confirmed (regulation 28(1)(h)). Our cancellation policy in clause 7 therefore applies instead. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
If you cancel a confirmed Booking, we will always try to re-hire your Items and dates and, if we succeed, we will reduce your cancellation charge accordingly. Otherwise the following charges apply to cover our losses:
These charges represent a genuine estimate of the costs and lost revenue we incur. We strongly recommend taking out wedding insurance to cover cancellation costs.
You may request changes to your Booking and we will accommodate them where possible (subject to availability and any price difference). We reserve the right to substitute Items of equivalent or higher quality and style if a specific Item becomes unavailable. If a substitute would materially differ from what you ordered, we will tell you in advance and you may accept it, choose an alternative, or cancel the affected Item for a refund of sums paid for it.
We offer team delivery within approximately 160 miles of Lincoln and nationwide courier delivery for suitable items. Delivery and collection charges vary by location and will be confirmed at the time of quotation.
You are responsible for all hired items from the point of delivery/collection until they are returned to us. Please report any damage, loss, or theft to us as soon as possible. We will charge the reasonable cost of repair, or like-for-like replacement, taking into account the age and condition of the item (so you are not charged the cost of a brand-new item for one that was already used). Normal wear and tear is expected and will not be charged.
We will supply the Items with reasonable care and skill, and the Items will be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, which cannot be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to the above, and except for our obligations under clause 12:
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, or other emergencies. If such an event means we are unable to fulfil your Booking, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund in full all sums you have paid to us for the affected Booking.
We process your personal data in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) to manage your Booking and provide our services. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
If something isn’t right, please contact us at sales@myweddinghire.com or on 01522 396443 and we will try to resolve it quickly. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, this does not affect your right to take court action.
